Here's a little about me!

Scarlett Freeman is an indie singer/songwriter from Charlotte, NC who just graduated from Anderson University with a Bachelors of Music in Commercial Music and a minor in Composition. Through her songwriting, she vividly portrays the heartache of living in a beautiful but broken world while guiding her listeners back to the hope that can be found in Jesus Christ. Scarlett connects with her listeners through deeply raw and relatable lyricism as well as captivating melodies. It is evident that her goal is to address difficult topics within faith and heartbreak unflinchingly, so that no one might feel alone in their struggle.

She has recorded and released three singles and an EP under her artist name, Scarlett Elise, and has had the opportunity to perform eight original songs in various commercial music concerts at Anderson University. Scarlett is a songwriter for Anderson University’s record label, Audio 316 Records where she wrote Love Someone performed by Anderson Moore and Old Chapel performed by Nathan Fowler. She recorded her single, I Choose to Pray, in Charlotte at GAT3 studios, an acclaimed recording studio that has produced albums for the likes of Brandon Lake and Post Malone. She has also been able to lead multiple church congregations in worship using her own original music.

Scarlett is currently working on a concept album called The Indigo Project that she plans to release in the fall of 2026, and hopes to continue her education by studying music therapy.
